We are thrilled to announce today the 24 women who will be part of the Emerge Maine 2022 Cohort – our 16th Emerge Maine class! We cannot wait to welcome this remarkable group of leaders into the Emerge Maine sisterhood.
The Class of 2022 program members hail from all over the state and bring with them a beautiful tapestry of diverse life experiences, professions, and passions. Our class includes educators, community organizers, farmers, healthcare workers, business owners, nonprofit leaders, and CEOs of their households.
This year’s class is one of the most diverse we will train at Emerge Maine, as over 43% of the class represents the New American Majority – Black, Brown and Indigenous women, women of color, LGBTQ+ women, and young and unmarried women.
We celebrate today because we know they will be changing the face of elected power tomorrow.
