This week has been a reminder that compassionate leadership is needed – immediately. Leaders who uphold our democratic instutitions, protect the rights of all beings, and act with integrity are urgently needed. We may be transferring into a new administration, but our work is not done.
In the midst of an incredibly challenging year, Democratic women from all over the state jumped in with both feet and applied for the Emerge 2021 class. Our recruitment committee made up of alumni, volunteers, and Emerge Maine Board members, have chosen the women who will join the Emerge network this year.
Our newest class has activists, veterans, organizers, and caregivers. All of these women are leaders with different perspectives and goals; all will be incredible, positive influences on their communities.
It is an honor to introduce the 25 women embarking on our 6 month, 70 hour Signature Training program, starting this month.
